One of my favorite bunches of calves to brand during the Ellis Cattle Co Branding is this bunch right here! There are calves of almost every color and they make great subjects to photograph! Most cattle ranches out here in Montana raise either Red Angus or Black Angus, which-don't get me wrong are great to photograph, but it's so much more fun when this ranch has some Charolais Bulls in their herd, making the calves come out in all sorts of fun colors!
Not to mention the black and white images turn out To DIE For when you have a beautiful buckskin horse dragging a Charolais calf to the fire.
